Raising Flood Awareness with the Scottish Environment Protection Agency

Working with the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) Theatre& are pleased to have delivered a bespoke tour to raise awareness about flooding and climate change. Replicating the success of previous tours the presentations and workshops targeted young children aged between 7 and 11 years old.

The tour educated children about the dangers and risks of flooding and highlighted the links between flooding and climate change.

A key objective was to raise awareness of SEPA and the services they provide like Floodline meaning children are better informed about how to react to flooding.

Theatre& use the latest industry leading audio-visual technology alongside theatre-led presentations to ensure the delivery of key messages is both memorable and engaging.

Creating an interactive learning experience provides an excellent environment where messages are retained and understood - this empowers children to take the messages learned home to educate parents and other family members on how to use the Floodline service but also to provide a greater awareness of the dangers of flooding.
