Selected by Rochdale Metropolitan Borough Council we created an innovative Raising Participation Age programme to highlight the benefits of this educational reform and to inform, inspire and engage the first wave of young people to be affected current Year 7 and 8 students.
Theatre& Learning were contracted by the North-East division of the National Apprenticeship Service, to promote apprenticeships and work based learning to Year 11 students starting to make decisions about options and future career paths.
This engaging presentation and interactive workshop concentrates on road safety issues in the lead up to the transition to secondary school and the challenges faced when travelling to and from the new school. The performance covers pedestrian safety, bike safety, in car safety and travelling on public transport.
Touring Cardiff Theatre& Learning delivered this interactive presentation focusing on road safety for Key Stage 2 pupils. Enhanced by a multimedia backdrop the educational presentation and supporting workshop encouraged pupils to be safe by the road and highlighted the risks of not being safe.
Theatre& Learning delivered a county-wide tour to Year 10 students around the topic of driver and passenger safety, risk taking and driving under the influence. The memorable and engaging performance addressed these issues in an effective, hard-to-escape way.
Working with the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) Theatre& Learning created a bespoke presentation to raise awareness about flooding and climate change. One of the key objectives was to educate and engage young children aged between 7 and 11 years old about how to react to flooding.
In consultation with Doncaster NHS Theatre& Learning designed a programme to illustrate the key messages around health and wellbeing and illustrate the consequences of living an unhealthy lifestyle and being inactive. The presentation was delivered to Key Stage 2 pupils in the Doncaster area.
