Business Development Consultant (OTE £35K)

We are looking to recruit a talented, passionate individual who is ideally experienced in solution-led / consultative sales. It would be great if you have experience of selling training / HR consultancy or educational products - alternatively you might be an actor / facilitator who understands our product and is now looking to tread a different careerpath.

It's not an issue where you are based geographically as after the induction process, we are happy for you to work from home (other than approx 2 days per month at head office in Huddersfield) and time at client meetings.

Self-motivated, fantastic communication and business skills such as proposal writing, delivering high level presentations as well as self-awareness are all essential. We genuinely believe that people buy from people therefore its really important that you can work in line with the Theatre& values.

We are casting shortly for the following acting positions:

Theatre & Learning - Educational touring roles

We can offer contracts ranging from a week through to 12 weeks. Working under our Theatre& Learning brand, means delivering fast-paced, engaging and creative presentations to young people in a school/college setting. Normally our projects involve educational messages, promoting post 16 option choices or staying in education for example. We get some fantastic feedback in this area regarding our work from clients, teachers and students alike. Our Theatre & Learning actors need to be able to play big, lively characters, are hard working and enthusiastic and are able to work as part of small team out on tour. The ability to use a number of different accents is also an advantage! We are looking for:

• Male and female actors who can credibly portray a 14-16 year old
• Ideally a driver who is comfortable driving a small transit sized van (with less than 6 point on their driving licence)
• Previous experience of delivering this type of work is advantageous but not essential
• Ethnically diverse actors due to specific casting requirements on behalf of some of our clients.

What we offer:

• Weekly Salary of £330 - £350 (before National Insurance deductions)
• Bonus of £30 per touring week, subject to criteria
• Subsistence included in the weekly wage

Creative Team Managers

This role involves managing a team of 2 other actors. You will be delivering drama-based training workshops for a range of different clients covering areas such as Management Development and Customer Service. Within the workshops, you will be required to deliver not just the scripted drama but hot seating, forum theatre and other interactive techniques. As the Manager of the team, you are key to the successful rehearsal and direction of the team prior to any delivery. All our training workshops are led by a professional trainer who works with the acting team to deliver the best possible workshop in line with our client's objectives. All our rehearsals take place at our Head Office in Huddersfield but then delivery days will take you all over the UK and everywhere in between! You will also be involved in our demonstration events with potential clients. We are looking for someone who:

• Preferably holds a full clean UK Driving licence (applications considered from individuals with up to 6 points)
• Ideally lives local to Huddersfield and therefore can provide their own base if you do not live near Huddersfield but are interested in this role, it is still very much worth applying
• Has previous experience of managing a team
• Ideally has some experience of drama-based training delivery
• Has some work experience outside of acting
• Thinks on their feet and has strong improvisation skills
• Is able to direct the team
• Can motivate others and lead the team in a way that inspires confidence and delivers excellence performances each and every time.

• Weekly Salary of £410.00 (before Tax and National Insurance)
• Showcase Bonus (when you deliver a demonstration that a client commissions work from)

Creative Team Actors

We have numerous contracts available ranging from a couple of weeks through to six months in duration. You would be involved in delivering training workshops for a range of different clients throughout the UK. These are challenging roles which require you to be skilled in scripted drama and improvisation alike. Your base will be in Huddersfield for rehearsals but then you will be delivering on average 3 days of workshops/demonstrations per week. We are happy that most actors who deliver a Creative Team contract for us want to stay on and deliver another!

We are looking for someone who:

• Preferably holds a full clean UK Driving licence (applications considered from individuals with up to 6 points)
• Has previous experience of working within a team
• Ideally has some experience of drama-based training delivery
• Has some work experience outside of acting
• Thinks on their feet and has strong improvisation skills
• Is creative, enthusiastic and a hard working team member
• Has the attitude of delivering excellent performances each and every time.

What we offer:

• Weekly Salary of £355.00 (before Tax and National Insurance for contracts of over 8 weeks, contracts of up to this amount are NI only)
• Showcase Bonus (when you deliver a demonstration that a client commissions work from)
• Delivery Day Bonus (if you have more than 12 delivery days scheduled per calendar month)
• Subsistence included in the weekly wage
• Accommodation provided
• Holiday pay, plus statutory bank holidays.
